    Silicate-Type Hybrid Coolant
    ■ Balanced combination of inorganic and organic corrosion inhibitors for high dependability.
    ■ Silicates quickly build a stable and thin protective layer – that protect surfaces of the cooling system against corrosion, cavitation and deposition.
    ■ Nitrite-containing coolant (GLYSANTIN® G05®) protects cast iron engines (Heavy Duty).
    ■ Nitrite-free coolant (GLYSANTIN® G48®) also protects engines with higher amounts of aluminum.

    OAT Coolants (Organic Acid Technology)
    ■ In the middle of the 90´s the first silicate-free engine coolants introduced to the market by VW.
    ■ Only organic corrosion inhibitors with very low depletion rates ensure an extended coolant life.
    ■ Aluminum surfaces become darkly stained because they first oxidize and are then protected by the organic acid salts (chemical adsorption) à The oxidation is intended.
    ■ This technology also shows high dependability like hybrid coolants.

    Hot Test Coolant
    ■ Passenger cars and heavy duty engines are mostly hot tested for full functionality before shipping: The hot test fluid is drained and the engine sealed for transport.
    ■ Unique blend of vapor phase corrosion inhibitors which prevents corrosion.
    ■ After the hot test: The remaining quantity of the hot test coolant will protect the engine’s cooling system up to 6 months against corrosion.
